Considerations and warnings about the weather for weddings in Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya, Cancun, Isla Mujeres, Tulum and Akumal.
Here you will find the best months or season for a wedding. We recommend you to do your wedding ceremony 2 hour before sunset, if your ceremony last around 15 to 20 minutes, this way we will be able to shoot the wedding ceremony, family formals, and 1.5 hours of bride and groom beautiful and romantics pictures before sunset and also and if possible some sunset shoots, we may also shoot wedding pictures at night, but we will depend who good is the resort lighted and the amount of good wedding picture spots. You can also so your wedding shoots and family formals before the ceremony but it is not much recommendable unless it is the only option, because the light in many cases is not as good as the later hours, also if you have a Trash the dress session we can arrange all the Bride and Groom wedding pictures the day of the Trash the dress. This is the coldest season, 60-80F or15-19C, in Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen and Cancun, humidity and hot go down considerably, you may night some sweater during the night, rainy is not often in this season but the weather in the area may suddenly change, dusks are awesome in this season.

These month the weather starts to get hotter, it is good for coming it rarely rains, consider “spring brake” season and “holy week” if you want a more private wedding. In this season the wind on the beach can be stronger some days than others. Its always windy here and sometimes can be overbearing. If you have chosen a location, think ahead of a second option if needed. For wedding photography, this season is consider high session, so be sure you have your wedding locations and photographer booked with enough time.

This is the hottest 85F-32C, more humidity season in the Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen and Tulum, it is also gets crowded in July mainly, it is so hoy and humid that the sweat is something inevitable, when you are outdoors. This month is high session for rain, it falls really hard and it is brief but also can rain for a long period of time, the area i situated where the cold and hot winds get together and generated depreciations that generates rain.
